March Break camps

Posted by Admin_Mom in March BreakClasses and workshops

March Break is quickly approaching! Here's a quick round-up of some of the camps available. Information on drop-in March Break programs will be posted closer to the time.
  • The Fairview Family Resource Centre will be having a program for school children aged 5 to 12 years during the March Break between the hours of 9am–noon. Activities will include crafts, games, sports etc… A nutritional snack will be provided each day. The cost of the program is free but registration is required. To register please call 443-9569
  • Pier 21 runs camps for children ages 5-12 that use a different theme each year to explore multiculturism. This year the theme is Myths and Legends. Children will take part in dance, activities, music, language, arts, crafts, games and stories from around the world. Half or full-day available. Please check here for more details and to register.
  • Art classes are available everyday this March Break at Sharkey’s with Janet Englehart. The classes will encourage hands on activities, discovery learning and the ability to build fine motor skills through art techniques, looking at stories from Eric Carle. Each workshop is limited to six children and is for children aged 3-5. Monday-Friday, 2:30-3:30pm, $30 per class when you book all five, but single classes available for $35. Classes also available for older children. To register or for more information contact Sharkey’s at 406-7074 or email bedford@sharkeyscutsforkids.com
  • Dalplex has a couple of camps suitable for kids 5-10: Active Kids March Break Day Camp and March Break Bouldering Camp. The Active Kids camp is a non-competitive, structured camp, while the Bouldering camp is for kids who would like to work toward the completion of the Boulder 1 or Boulder 2 badge. Check out their website for more information or to register.
